DAY 1:
Kathmandu to Synboche by Heli Flight
Kathmandu, Nepal is located at an altitude of approximately 4,593 feet above sea level and Syangboche is located at an altitude of approximately 12,139 feet above sea level and is known for its stunning views of the Himalayan Mountain range. It is a popular destination for trekkers and hikers who are visiting the region to explore the natural beauty of the area, as well as for those who want to experience the local culture and traditions of the Sherpa people who live in the region.
Early morning, we will take a flight and the flight from Kathmandu to Syangboche would typically take about an hour, depending on the route taken and the weather conditions. The journey would involve flying over the beautiful landscape of Nepal, with breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys below. Upon arriving in Syangboche, visitors can explore the local area, go on a trek or hike Kumjung, Khunde, Hillary Hospital and Namche Bazaar (3 to 4 hrs. hike). Around 3 pm we go back at Syangboche from Namche Bazaar and stay at the Syangboche Everest View Hotel.
DAY 2:
Syangboche to Debuche 3820m via Tengboche 3807m (5 to 6 hrs. hike)
Syangboche and Debuche are both villages located in the Solu-Khumbu region of Nepal, in the eastern Himalayas. Tengboche is a village located in between Syangboche and Debuche. The distance between Syangboche and Debuche is approximately 19 kilometers (12 miles).
From Syangboche, we head east towards Tengboche. The village of Tengboche is located about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from Syangboche. From Tengboche, we continue east towards Debuche. The village of Debuche is located about 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) from Tengboche.
There are no roads connecting these villages, so the most common way to travel between them is by walking or hiking. The route is likely to be quite scenic, as it passes through the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to Mount Everest and other high peaks. Our guide will navigate the route and provide information about the local culture and environment.
DAY 3:
Debuche (3,820 meters (12,530 feet) to Dingboche 4410 meters (14,465 feet)
The hike from Debuche to Dingboche is a popular trekking route in the Khumbu region of Nepal, and takes you through beautiful countryside and small villages. The distance between Debuche and Dingboche is approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles), and the hike can take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours to complete, depending on your pace and the terrain. The trail passes through several villages, including Pheriche and Orsho, and offers views of the surrounding mountains, including Makalu, Lhotse, and Nuptse.
We head southeast towards the village of Pangboche. Pangboche is located about 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) from Debuche. From Pangboche, we continue southeast towards Dingboche. The village of Dingboche is located about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) from Pangboche.
DAY 4:
Rest Day at Dingboche for acclimatization and excursion to Nagarjun Hill (5100m), 3-4 hrs
Taking a rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization is a common practice for trekkers in the Khumbu region of Nepal. The high altitude can be challenging for some people, and it is important to properly acclimatize to the thin air before continuing your trek. Taking a rest day at Dingboche can give your body time to adjust to the altitude and can help reduce the risk of altitude sickness. During your rest day at Dingboche, you may want to consider taking an excursion to Nagarjun Hill about 5100 meters (16,732 feet). Nagarjun Hill is a popular destination for trekkers in the area, and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The route to Nagarjun Hill is likely to be quite steep and rocky in places, and you may need to use your hands to climb over some rocky sections. The hill is located just a short walk from Dingboche, and the hike to the top takes around 2 hours to complete. Along the way, you will pass through forests and meadows, and may spot some of the local wildlife, including Himalayan thar and pikas. From the top of Nagarjun Hill, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Makalu, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
DAY 5:
Dingboche to Lobuche 4930 meters 5/6 hrs:
Lobuche is a village located at an altitude of 4,910 meters (16,110 feet) above sea level. The distance between Dingboche and Lobuche is approximately 11 kilometers (7 miles), and the hike can take anywhere from 5 to 7 hours to complete, depending on your pace and the terrain.
The trail passes through several villages, including Pheriche and Dughla, and offers views of the surrounding mountains, including Makalu, Lhotse, and Nuptse. Along the way, you may encounter yaks and their herders, and may have the opportunity to visit some of the local monasteries and cultural sites. Lobuche is a small village with a few lodges and guesthouses, and is a good place to rest and acclimatize before continuing next trek.
DAY 6:
Lobuche to Goraksbep 5170m
Tek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep and then visit the base camp 5,364 meters (17,598 feet) of Mount Everest and return to Gorak Shep, takes a full day to complete the round trip. The trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep is approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) and takes 3-5 hours to complete, depending on your pace and the terrain. From Gorak Shep, the base camp of Mount Everest is located a short distance away, and the round-trip hike to the base camp and back to Gorak Shep takes about 6-7 hours to complete. The hike to the base camp offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest. After visiting the base camp, you will return to Gorak Shep to rest and spend the night.
DAY 7:
Heli Flight from Kalapathar to Kathmandu
Gorak Shep is the last stop for trekkers on the way to the base camp of Mount Everest, and is a popular starting point for hikes to Kalapatthar, a rocky peak located at an altitude of 5,545 meters (18,192 feet) above sea level. The hike from Gorak Shep to Kalapatthar is a challenging one, with a steep ascent through rugged terrain. It typically takes about 5-6 hours to complete the round trip, and it is recommended to start the hike early in the morning to avoid the crowds and to have the best chance of clear weather.
Kalapather is a popular destination for trekkers and hikers visiting the area, as it offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pumori. After excursion at Kalapather and after having a breakfast, we will take a heli flight back to Kathmandu which takes around an hour.
