Trip Introduction

The Poon Hill Trek (Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek) is a short and popular trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It typically takes about 5 days to complete and offers stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. The trek begins in Nayapul, a small village near Pokhara, and ends in Tikhedhunga. Along the way, trekkers pass through charming villages, lush forests, and terraced fields, and have the opportunity to experience the unique culture and lifestyle of the local Gurung people. The highlight of the trek is a sunrise view from Poon Hill, a viewpoint that offers a panoramic view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks. The trek is considered to be relatively easy and is suitable for both experienced and first-time trekkers.
